As you write, focus on what you wish to protect: your energy, your home, your loved ones, or anything else you wish to keep safe. When done, fold the paper in half, folding away from your body to release anything that does not belong. Turn the paper 90 degrees and fold it again. Repeat this process two more times, always folding away from yourself.
